Usually the complaint in this game is people are overleveled. Here is list of quest from wiki you can see if you missed stuff early on. well not all 15 levels but a lot of them. not sure how you go to the end of the 15 level dungeon at level 7 that levels you up to and i would say those 15 levels are harder than that quest you mentioned. also do you have white march you can go play that and level up. i know some quest go away after the trial but there should still be some. at least there were in act 2 not sure now. there are lots of quest to do in defiance bay and surrounding areas like dyford village. and part way through Act 2 i would be level 7 and prob 9-10 by end of act 2. i am usually level 5 around beginning of Act 2. My party consists of a cipher, Eder, Aloth, Pallegina, Kana, Durance. I just find it a little odd that I had no problems whatsoever until act 3 and then all of a sudden even all the random monsters hit ridiculously hard. ![]() Or any hints? I think I've done most if not everything in Dyrwood, Gilded Vale, Defiance Bay, Od Nua until the final fight at lvl 7. Does the whole city of Twin Elms have this brutal quests or are the plot ones the most difficult ones? ![]() About what level should I be at the beginning of act 3? I seriously doubt that my party could take them on at this point, I already feel bad for them. However, straight to the point, what are the recommended level for the acts? Just rough estimates. I think I may have been like level 7 (lol), decided okay maybe I missed some side quests, went back to do everything I think I missed and now I'm about 100 xp shy from level 9. Quests Maps World Map Vilarios Rest Port Maje Engwithan Digsite Neketaka. Ho-lee **** do they just steamroll my party in two seconds. Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire is an enormous game and its many of what. Maybe I advanced the plot too quickly, there were really no problems until I reached Twin Elms, but now I find that I'm getting absolutely destroyed by the old queen and the new king. The beginning was maybe a bit challenging, nothing too bad, I was advancing fairly effortlessly until act 3. I've played something like 20 hours of PoE now and I've liked it so far - playing on normal difficulty. However, since all threats ingame seem to be implied (unless the gods are concerned), this narrative flow is still my favorite.I'm fairly new to this game, but a long time player of BG, IWD, NWN etc. When I left Port Maje, I got the impression the ship's repair was a rush job and that reaching Neketaka was a priority since The Defiant is essentially being held together by rubber bands and chewing gum. So far the main conflict I've seen is between the implied time table to deal with Benweth and the implied damage to the PC's ship. Sail to Neketaka > Receive letters from both Furrante and Aeldys both of which the PC now has a bit of knowledge of > Neketaka > Serafen see's Malnaj's boat > Ambush by MalnajĪnd that's as far as I've gotten so far, but it does seem to have a better narrative flow. This added several narrative benefits since it gave access to the flag, introduced ship combat, and gave weight to Furrante's warning that Benweths' successful attack makes my ship look like easy prey to all the other pirates.-Īnd onward: Break into deadlight (whichever way you do it) > Serafen introduces his motivation/quest > Deal with Benweth (and learn a little bit about the new blood Principi) > Benweth story arch closed/resolved Personal experience here: I was attacked by a pirate on the way, Weathered Cormio, and took his flag. The order of events essentially would go:Īttacked by Benweth > Shipwrecked > Port Maje > Ambush by Furrante > Recruit Serafen > Learn Benweth's ship took damage and made port at Fort Deadlight (implied timed deadline before his ship is seaworthy again) > Plan with Serafen > Sail to Deadlight (racing implied deadline). ![]() ![]() Story-wise going from Port Maje directly to Fort Deadlight makes Serafen's quest and narrative flow more smoothly. I'd like to add to what Knownastherat said. Since this is the spoiler's thread I'm assuming I can go whole hog on descriptions/breakdowns.
